POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME

 PCOS is manifested by the Absence of menses, Abnormal Facial Hair and
increase in weight associated with Enlarged Polycystic Ovaries

CAUSES:

There are multiple causes, but very common ones are:
1. Dietary Factors – Taking large quantities of the following foods may lead to
PCOS- Dairy products, White Sugar, White flour, White rice (when taken in
excess), gluten grains, alcohol, refined or hydrogenated oils, caffeine & high
carb foods. Most of the packaged foods contain a lot of sugar and
preservatives can also be a cause.
2. Prolonged Stress & Depression
3. Sedentary lifestyle

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

These are very commonly seen in females:
1. Obesity (Belly fat – 50%)
2. Irregular Menses (70%)
3. Abnormal growth of Hair on Women’s Face & Body.
4. Acne

PCOS can lead to:
